Baby food
Baby food: Rant alert
Okay so this rant is particularly for the moms like me… And by me I mean “why is it so hard for the babies to eat” why😭 First don’t start the solids before 6 months as this is recommended by WHO. As the breastfeed and formula is full of nutrients and is enough for the baby till first six months of life. And after completing six months you need to start solids gradually. And don’t give salt and sugar to the babies before the age of one as it can cause serious damage to baby’s organs.
So now let’s come to the main point; why is it so hard for them to complete their food or to at least show some likeness. If you are spoon feeding then they will completely reject after some spoons and if you are doing BLW(baby lead weaning) then there is whole lot of mess that awaits afterwards so what to do. Can’t force the baby to eat as that will make them hate the food more and they will show more resistance.
- Teething and i hate that phase in babies. The crying for no reason, 24 hours fussiness, rejecting every kind of food even purées in my case.
- Picky eaters: some babies are from the start very choosy but it’s a complete different scenario.
- Environment: A slight change in the environment can create hindrance between food and the baby. They are distracted and may not be comfortable in the new setting. If this is the case then always try to have a stock of baby’s favorite food that has less chance of being reject because can’t starve the baby.
I am a tired mom who has tried everything from BLW to Spoon feeding and my baby is not eating anything. Maximum two to three spoons and that’s it. I am not one of those moms who encourage screen time while eating and haven’t done this with my baby too.
